My agent just read my current book draft. She says I have way, way, way too much content. *Urp!* I need to trim down the quantity and make it flow much more smoothly.
Hey, I went to one of those schools that was like “taking a drink from a firehose.” If you don’t have water squirting out your nose, there wasn’t enough content, right?

This is an important lesson: Not every behavior you learned in school is the best way to do things.

Stever, don’t worry – you’re not alone: every writer goes through this. Keith’s final draft was probably 25% shorter than the first draft, maybe more. I know writers who’ve had to cut their content in half!! Especially those who do a lot of interviewing.

Stever, I’ve listened to pretty much all your podcasts and read heaps of your blog posts. I’ve never thought that your articles had too much content. They’re finely crafted pieces of quite hillarious artwork.

Stever…perhaps you have a two-book project going?
