Frankly these are all bad signs for middle class America.

If you think about:
     1. The exponential rising costs of purchasing a home
     2. Significant rising cost of fuels 
     3. Double digit percentages cost increases of food
     4. Uncertain/shrinking job market

It doesn't add up well. If 3% is the average cost of living increase than for the past 5 years the average worker has not gained anything and in fact has lost a good percentage of the expendable income. Throw in a few thousand in high interest rate debt and most folks are in the red.

Depressing - it makes me sick just thinking about it. Is that why I feel like an indentured servant????</description>
